The Salesforce Winter ’24 release brings some exciting updates to Sales and Service Cloud users. With three major updates a year, Salesforce ensures its platform remains at the forefront of CRM technology. Let’s check how these new features will improve efficiency and effectiveness within our daily routine.
1. Dynamic Forms – The #1 Requested Feature Now Even Better
Dynamic Forms, a highly anticipated feature on Salesforce’s IdeaExchange, was upgraded. Previously available for custom objects, it’s now rolled out for all standard objects. This enhancement brings unparalleled customization and flexibility to your Salesforce interface.
▶ What’s new? Now, Dynamic Forms allows you to place fields anywhere on the layout without being confined to the traditional page layout (“Details” component). You can use visibility rules to dynamically show or hide fields and components tailored to your criteria.
2. Updated Forecasts Page – Precision in Prediction
Understanding your company’s sales potential within a given period, be it a quarter or a year, is the essence of a sales forecast. The effectiveness of these forecasts hinges on their accuracy, which in turn relies on the quality of the data behind them.
▶ What’s new? The Winter ’24 release introduces a completely redesigned forecasting page UI, enhancing clarity and usability.
- Clear Labels: The updated label now clearly indicates what you are viewing, ensuring a more intuitive user experience.
- Period Highlight: The current period is prominently highlighted in the summary view, allowing quick orientation and focus.
- Modern Icons: Updated icons bring a fresh look to the interface, enhancing visual appeal and user engagement.
- Interactive Fields: Fields that are clickable are now highlighted when you hover over them, making it easier to identify interactive elements.
Forecast managers can directly apply their judgment to forecast opportunities. This enhancement leads to more nuanced adjustments, blending data with managerial insight for more accurate and realistic forecasts.
3. Einstein GPT – Now Live for Sales & Service
First unveiled at Dreamforce, Einstein GPT for Sales and Service has begun its roll-out with the Winter ’24 release. This introduction marks the beginning of AI-enhanced capabilities in your sales and service workflows, offering smarter insights for better decision-making. We are in the process of preparing detailed information about Einstein GPT in Sales and Service. Stay tuned for further updates.
4. Lead and Contact Intelligence Views – Streamlined Access
Building upon the foundation set by Pipeline Inspection, introduced in Summer ‘23, Salesforce has expanded these capabilities to include Leads and Contacts. This enhancement is a significant step in providing sales teams with a more integrated and insightful view of their sales activities.
▶ What’s new? With an Intelligence view extending to Leads and Contacts, sales teams can now access a unified dashboard showcasing week-to-week changes, AI-driven insights, predicted close dates, and detailed activity information for both leads and contacts, streamlining the sales process and decision-making.
After activation in Setup, the Lead Intelligence View and Contact Intelligence View show comprehensive activity metrics within the lead and contact tabs. In the earlier version, these tabs were limited to displaying only List Views.
Now, users can view lead activities, initiate actions, and update records seamlessly from the Lead Intelligence View. Previous Lead Home offered basic list views and necessitated navigating to each record individually for any action.
5. Omni-Channel Enhancements – Streamlined Workflows and Enhanced Agent Efficiency
Salesforce continues to revamp various aspects of its platform to improve user experience, similar to the enhancements in intelligence views for contacts and leads.
▶ What’s new? The Omni-Channel feature has been transformed with a fresh user interface tailored to provide better utility for agents. The new design adopts an inbox-style layout, replacing the traditional console tabs. This change makes it easier for agents to view and manage the status of work items more efficiently.
